| When painting/drawing I always work from photos. I only work from one single photo of each pet. (for group compositions I can add two or more pictures of pets together by working from single photos of each pet). You can send a few photos, however please identify which photo you feel is the best representation of your pet. Try to choose one that captures their personality and character. Maybe your pet has a favorite pose or a favorite place or surroundings they like to be in. You can email me your photos at any time. Please email them at the highest resolution possible, or mail them to me as prints (please see address below.) All photos wil be returned.
When taking your photo please ensure that the subject is well captured. For example photos should be taken at the same level of the subject, not from above (please see examples of good and bad techniques)
The photographs below are not of good quality.
- The photo on the left hand side has been taken from above the subject matter.
- In the right hand side photo the flash from the camera has distorted/taken away a lot of detail from the subject matter.
